What Is Government Regulation Essay Samples? What is government regulation? Many people are baffled when asked to describe the difference between government regulation. What they often fail to realize is that the two have quite a bit in common, such as having regulatory agencies and many of the same rules that must be met for it to continue. The first step to writing a regulation essay sample is to begin by describing what regulation is, and why. The federal government, in particular, has an extensive set of regulations to keep up with. The reason why there are so many regulations is that it is one of the few rules in the government that are enforced.A regulation must adhere to certain parameters such as controlling pollution and helping the environment. In addition, certain regulations are put in place for specific industries and types of jobs, such as requirements for employers to keep hazardous materials out of the hands of their employees, such as asbestos. There are many essays sam ples available online. Many times, they are called sample college essays. As you go to the Internet, look for essay samples of regulation. You may find it hard to find one that is well written, but the ones that you do find should be considered.A regulation must be written from the perspective of the person reading it. For example, if you are the regulator, then you must understand the rules that were put in place and why they were put in place. If a person was to ask you about why a regulation was put in place, how would you answer that question? When we change our lifestyles or careers, many times old rules that were put in place are not practical, so they must be changed or scrapped altogether. A Primary Source Of The West Indies By Henry Nelson Coleridge

The document I chose to analyze as a primary source is Six Months in The West Indies by Henry Nelson Coleridge. This is a small journal published in 1825 that follows Henry N. Coleridge’s trips around the West Indies with his uncle, William Hart Coleridge who is a bishop of Barbados. While on his trip throughout the isles, Coleridge not only comments on the local governments and ecosystems but the treatment of slaves and the institution of slavery as well. His viewpoints are in no way abolitionist, but he does appear to have a vein of sympathy for slaves of the West Indies. Many of his viewpoints are on how society and slave owners in the West Indies could better the lives of their slaves, none of them abolition, but for instance he suggests that â€Å"one of the most effectual ways for bettering the slaves would be thorough and humanizing education of the masters themselves (p.54).† While this argument, I feel, is not uncommon of a well-educated, English, relative of a high ranking religious official during this time period, I find it interesting to compare Coleridge’s accounts of slavery throughout the West Indies with that of an actual slave, Mary Prince, in the same region. Mary Prince was a slave in the Caribbean, who was bought and sold to multiple owners, on multiple isles, eventually gaining her freedom in Britain in 1828. This secondary source, The History of Mary Prince, was transcribed by Suzanna Strickland and edited by the abolitionist who took her in, Thomas Pringle

State/Local Finance Example

Essays on State/Local Finance Assignment ECO 346 SPRING HOMEWORK REG. NO] [ISTITUTION’S ECO 346 SPRING HOMEWORK QUESTION The board of Education in the City School District of Albany approved a budget proposal for 2015-16 worth 224 million dollars (ALBANY SCHOOLS). Comparing it to the previous year’s budget, which was $221,752,648, this is an increase of approximately 0.9%. Tax-levy increased by 0.98%; being the second year in a row for such an increase below 1%. This presented a tax-levy increase that is less than half of the district’s tax cap of 2.26% for next year. The budget includes some programs and supports, and tax-free facilities propositions (ALBANY SCHOOLS). Some of the new programs and supports include: Restoration of three positions cut during recession: An assistant Director of pupil personnel, Instructional Supervisor and Extended day coordinator. To enhance consistency in prekindergarten instructions in the district, they considered investments. Addition of reading teachers Six of new social workers, psychologists and behavioral specialists. College carriers reading coordinators. Among others. Tax free proposition includes provision of new turf filed (ALBANY SCHOOLS). These are some of the specific programs that may be targeted for cuts. QUESTION TWO I think one of the transportation services that should be financed by the revenue generated by these fees is enabling acquisition of speed governors for free (Ronald, 2006). The operators of Public Service Vehicle should be given free speed governors by the government on acquiring the vehicle. This will not only standardize the quality and type of speed governors used but also will reduce cases of over-speeding. Besides, gasoline tax could be used fix exhaust-filters on vehicles. One of the challenges facing transport industry is pollution. Setting up strategic spots where newly acquired vehicle will be fitted with exhaust filters can be a key step to making use of the revenue realized from these taxes. Additionally, gasoline tax could be used to increase emergency road services, 24/7. Considering that transportation spending do exist, state aiming to fund as much of it as it can, from these taxes and fees, will be a fair move to put citizen’s money into use and improve the transport industry at large. QUESTION THREE The authors in the text observe that each level of government has a role to play in the provision of the safety net (programs designed to assist people who find it difficult to meet basic needs). This includes federal government and state government. Additionally, the authors conclude that Medicaid is the largest and fastest growing among the safety net programs. This basically in terms of magnitude and number of recipients. I do only agree with the authors that each level of government has a role to play to promote safety net but also believe that it a responsibility and role of every American with slightly higher standard of living to take part in the provision of safety net. Going by the statistics provided, I agree with the authors that Medicaid is the largest and fastest growing safety net program. However, in case the ongoing data collection presents a different thing, then I will be obliged to disagree with them. QUESTION FOUR A community has a lot to gain from new business investment. Firstly, the community gains a good reputation. A place with an industry or a thriving business gains reputation (Ronald, 2006). This may come as a consequent of emergence of articles bearing the name of the place. Besides, the members of the community may benefit from the employment opportunities created by the business; hence securing source of income. Another gain that may be accompanied by a business investment to a community is growth of facilities (Ronald, 2006). Due to needs of the business, facilities such as better roads and communication lines, may be constructed thus enabling the local community to take advantage of them. However, some of costs that may come with a business investment in a community is increased competition (especially in the case where the new investment provides substitute good or service) (Ronald, 2006). Already existing business may face stiff competition pushing them out of business or reducing their profit margin. Additionally, to create space for the shopping center, some community members may be displaced. This case of displacement also applies to a manufacturing plant. Besides, a manufacturing plant may increase pollution of the surrounding hence endangering the lives of the inhabitants. Construction of a new manufacturing plant is normally associated with influx of people of various social backgrounds in search for employment . This may lead to erosion of community morals and code of conduct (Ronald, 2006). A community should discourage investment activities if they have great negative impact to the people (Ronald, 2006). For example, a manufacturing plant with poor waste management strategy or whose by-products are highly harmful to the living things should be discouraged. Additionally, if the investment presents unhealthy competition to the local business posing risk to their survival, it should be discouraged. Reference Ronald, F. (2006). Education Policies and Frameworks for Age Care - myassignmenthelp

Question: Discuss abouy theEducation Policies and Frameworks for Age Care. Answer: Differences Between FFSAC and EYLF Both the Early Years Learning Framework and the Framework for School Age Care describe the practices necessary in supporting and promoting the learning and development of children. However, they have some differences. One of the differences between EYLF and FFSAC is that they are meant for different age groups, the former being for children aged -0-5 years and the latter 6-12. Additionally, EYLF mainly focuses on brain development and play based learning for children. It aims at extending and enriching the learning of children from birth to five years of age as well as throughout the transition to school. On the other hand, FFSAC majors on enhancing the experience, development and well-being of school-aged children using planned leisure activities. It aims at extending and enriching the development and wellbeing of children who have attained the school age in care settings and education (Australia and Barblett 2006). How the ECACE links to one of the approved frameworks Leisure and play are crucial for the young childrens development, learning and wellbeing. This principle relates to FFSAC main objective of enhancing childrens development through leisure activities (Dowding and Martin2017) Part B Scenario 1 Legal obligations as an early childhood educator I would first confirm that Joshuas Mums friend is among the people allowed by Joshuas mum to pick him from school in her absentia. If not, Id contact her and refrain from releasing him to the Joshuas Mums friend. About the use of vulgar language and the bruises, I would report this to the necessary child protection authorities. Service policies and procedures I would refer to this scenario Mandatory reporting of child abuse. Child protection from any form of abuse or danger. Education and Care Services Regulations relevant to this scenario The safety and health of children. Standard 2.3: The protection of each child. Element 2.3.2: Reasonable steps should be put in place to protect children from injury, harm, or any hazard than can expose them to injury or harm. Element 2.3.4: coordinators, educators, and staff should be aware of their duties and responsibility to reach out to any child at risk of neglect or abuse (Armstrong, Armstrong and Barton 2016). Is it an ethical or a legal dilemma? It is an ethical dilemma since it does not relate to either sexual or physical abuse that requires mandatory report to relevant authorities by the law. In Saritas case, the child is not given proper attention by the parents. In this case, it is an ethical and moral requirement for Saritas parents to provide the baby with proper attention. Proper attention implies to the provision of basic needs like food, this is important for the baby given the fact that she is underweight and by opening the other childrens bag means she is hungry. Therefore, it is a moral obligation for the parents to take care of the child. How I would respond to such a situation Children like Sarita who are neglected need a nurturing and safe relationship that address the impact of child maltreatment. In this case, first thing I will do is to offer the child the proper attention needed. Second, since the child is under weight and hungry, I will arrange for the baby to be given food in proper proportions in order to correct her situation. Third, I would go an extra mile and report the case to the relevant authorities for appropriate action to be taken, whereby the child can be given to a caregiver who understands her needs. Finally, I would lobby for a school policy that provides free school meals to children who have difficulties having a decent meal at home. Areas from in relation to families that the educators undermined Children and their families should be supported and the teachers should respect the decisions made by the parents on their children. The educator should learn on how to respond and respect the uniqueness of each family in terms of culture, customs, structure, beliefs, language, and kinshipsystem. Respect families right to privacy and maintain confidentiality (Tayler, Ishmine, Cloney, Cleveland and Thorpe 2013) Services policies and procedures I would refer to in this situation Respect of family privacy and treating information with the appropriate levels of confidentiality and discretion. Respect the uniqueness and characteristics of various family backgrounds. Report any cases of breach of confidential information and the lack of respect to family privacy. Importance of sharing information about their behavior with the supervisor The educators failed to respect the privacy of this familys matters and continued laughing about it. Thus, they did not handle the information they knew with dignity and confidentiality as required. One of the educators did not respect the mothers decision to have a baby and went ahead to suggest that she could carry out other options instead. Therefore, they failed in their role as educators and violated fundamental principle. Advantage of supervisor raising and discussing policies that relate to this scenario in a staff meeting It would serve as a reminder to the involved educators together with the entire staff that it is important to respect family privacy and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Also, educators would be reminded of the importance of respect family backgrounds and treating such people with dignity. Reference List Armstrong, F., Armstrong, D. and Barton, L., 2016.
